Keeping commercial properties clean, safe and well maintained often involves much more than mowing lawns or trimming hedges. Our recent fence-line clean-up project at a Westfield Shopping Centre car park is a great example of the larger-scale grounds maintenance work our team regularly undertakes.
Over time, soil, grass, weeds, rubbish and self-seeded saplings had built up along the fence line, restricting the natural flow of stormwater and creating an untidy, difficult-to-maintain area.
Clearing the Fence Line
The project began with the removal of established eucalyptus trees growing along the fence line. Each tree was carefully dug out, cut into manageable sections and removed to prepare the area for the next stage of works.
With the larger vegetation cleared, our Dingo loader was used to scrape away the accumulated soil, grass, weeds and smaller saplings that had built up over time. The machine allowed us to work efficiently while safely removing a significant amount of material from the site.
Waste Removal
All waste material was collected and transported to a large dumpster on site. Using the Dingo’s lifting capabilities, the material was loaded directly into the skip bin, keeping the work area organised and ensuring the project progressed quickly and safely.
The Finished Result
Once completed, the fence line was completely cleared of excess soil, vegetation and debris, restoring proper drainage to the area. Rainwater can now flow freely towards the drainage system on the opposite side of the fence, reducing the risk of water pooling while leaving the entire fence line looking clean, tidy and professionally maintained.
Projects like this demonstrate the importance of regular commercial grounds maintenance. Preventative work not only improves the appearance of a property but also helps protect infrastructure, improve drainage and reduce ongoing maintenance costs.
If your commercial property has overgrown fence lines, drainage issues or areas that require machinery-assisted clean-up, the Commercial Gardening team has the equipment and experience to get the job done efficiently and safely.
