East Rockingham Waste to Energy Plant

This is a $700 million co-operation project sponsored by both State and Federal Governments to burn most of our garbage instead of exporting it and turning that into electricity. The plant is situated on approx. 40 acres where Vendas Maintenance has been asked several times to slash the periphery and the front entrances of their vast grounds and then spaying glyphosate to control the regrowth. Initially, the project was to tidy up the periphery of the site, this entailed slashing waist-high thick tufts of tough grass, and low profile bushes and then spraying them. We had to bring in a Kubota bobcat and 2m wide slasher to knock over the grass and subsequently, we have been back to maintain a decent appearance and safe working environment.
